According to the NIH low back pain is one of the most common reasons people see a doctor or miss time at work. Back pain can be either acute (a few days to a few weeks) or long term (12 weeks or longer) and can range in intensity from a dull, constant ache to a sudden, sharp or shooting pain. If you’ve ever checked out the joint by joint approach from Gray Cook/Mike Boyle then you know the lumbar spine is meant for stability. This is important to keep in mind because targeting the joints around the lumbar (hips and thoracic spine) for mobility can play a big role in relieving low back pain. Below is a series of exercises you can do daily to help solve the problem.
